First Daddy-Daughter Date Night

Jared took Adeline on her first date tonight! They went to her favorite restaurant, Fitch-er-lay (Chick-fil-A). She was so excited all day about their date! Despite the fact that Adeline's cousins, Natalie and Emma, came over to play this morning and they all ran around in the yard for an hour being chased by Grandmama and Grandaddy, she had an extremely hard time taking a nap. The second time she got up, she asked Jared, "Is it time for our date yet?" We laid her down at 2:00 and I think she finally fell asleep at 4:00. When she woke up at 6:15, I got her ready and off they went! Jared said she was a little whiny (a phase she seems to be in right now), but they had a great time! This was Daddy-Daughter Date #1 with many more to come! Give Cora another year or two, and she'll be "dating" as well! Tonight, however, she enjoyed a lovely evening at home with Mommy!
