32 Week OB Appointment
Adeline and my mom accompanied me to my 32 week appointment this morning. It was my mom's first time going to an appointment for either Adeline or this baby so she was excited to hear the heartbeat. My weight has stayed the same since my last appointment and my blood pressure is good. I'm still measuring about 1 1/2 weeks behind, but the midwife said that is fine especially when I told her I measured 3 weeks behind with Adeline. Oh and the swelling has begun! So far, it's just my right ankle that is swelling since the baby is laying more on my right. My ankles and feet started swelling when I was 5 months pregnant with Adeline so I'll take 7+ months this time!
Adeline's Teeth
I believe all of Adeline's teeth have finally come through! Her teething schedule was anything but normal!
Two bottom middle teeth (Central Incisors): 9 months
Four top middle teeth (Central Incisors and Lateral Incisors): 18 months
Two bottom teeth and four molars (Lateral Incisors and 1st Molars...yes, six at one time): 20 months
Four Cuspids (Canine): 23 months
Thankfully, she had a relatively easy experience with teething. The most trouble she had was when she cut the six at one time because she had a cold at the same time. She went about three days without eating much of anything. It was a stressful time for daddy and mommy, but we all got through it and she has returned to being a fantastic eater!

First Official Ponytail
Adeline thought she was big stuff a couple of Saturdays ago when I put her hair in a ponytail for the first time! It was a beautiful day and we were about to head outside to play while Jared was working in the garage. She saw me put my hair in a ponytail and went to get a hair band for her own hair. I had to slick her hair back with water and put a clip on top to hold the front pieces, but she loved it and looked very cute!

What We've Been Doing with Our Time
I haven't posted anything in a while because it requires some time, which is one thing we've been short on the past few weeks! We decided that it was time to start getting the house ready for the new baby. That meant major reorganization and cleaning out! Jared and his brother, Kristopher, spent the entire weekend of March 12th-14th putting everything that had been on the shelves in the garage in the middle of the garage floor, tearing workbenches apart, and building new shelves that run all around the top of the garage. Jared also has taken everything out of the attic in the garage, put in a second attic access hole, floored the remainder of the attic, and reorganized up there.

We told Adeline that the garage was a big mess, and then every time she walked through she'd say, "Hey mess!" She still does actually, but we're trying to convince her that's it's really much better now.
During all of this, Jared realized that something more than a trip to Goodwill was in order for all of our "stuff" that we knew we didn't need anymore. We needed to have a yard sale! Wow! You don't realize just how much stuff you have until you start going through everything and considering in a realistic manner if you will actually use it again! We spent the past week and a half gathering our items and pricing. We had the yard sale on Friday and Saturday. What a success!!! We advertised for it on Craigslist and Access Coweta and Jared made great signs to put out the morning of the sales. We were able to advertise it as a multi-family sale because our sisters-in-law and my mom also contributed. Thanks to the wonderful advice of my best friend Morgan and a friend of Jared's, we went from our original idea of a Saturday yard sale to also having it on Friday. Friday is apparently when the super-serious yard salers come out! All that to say, the yard sale brought in over $2,200!!! We continue to be amazed by all that sold! Our neighbors and my mom commented that they had never seen so many people at a yard sale! We sold our lawn mower, trimmer, grill (which has already been replaced by a much improved grill), patio furniture that we never really liked, DVD players, tvs, tons of DVDs and CDs, clothes clothes clothes since Jared has lost so much weight in the past 6 months, all my scrapbooking stuff, home decor, kitchen appliances and the list goes on! It's been a lot of work, but we really had a great time doing it!
Now Jared's work continues with organizing the garage. Luckily, organizing is something he enjoys greatly! He's doing a fantastic job and I have no doubt that the end result is going to be fantastic and will leave us with so much extra space!

STOP!!!
I was sending a text message this morning when Adeline decided she needed to show me something immediately. She said, "Mommy! Mommy! STOP!!!!!" while holding up her hand to signal "stop." I explained to her that it was not acceptable to tell mommy and daddy to stop like that. She obviously took that to mean that she needed to change her word usage, because when I went back to sending my text she then said, "Mommy! Mommy! NOT NOW!!!" I didn't let it go by without correcting her again, but it was definitely one of those moments when I had to turn my head to hide my chuckle. I immediately called Jared to share with him! I guess there are a few things you can infer from this story. We have a spunky little girl with a lot of personality, she clearly understands what "stop" and "not now" mean, and she may be told those things from mommy and daddy on occasion!

As you can see, Adeline does not have trouble being assertive!

30 Week OB Appointment
I went for my 30 week appointment today and everything looks great! My midwife said weight, blood pressure, diabetes testing from previous appointment and iron levels were all perfect! The baby's heartbeat was between 145 and 150. I'm measuring 28 1/2 weeks. I have had a lot of pain in my lower belly when I get up, down, get in the car, etc. for about a month now. I figured it was just muscles stretching since it was movement driven, but I just wanted to be sure so I mentioned it to the midwife. When she was feeling the position of the baby she discovered the baby's head was pushing on a ligament and my bladder. While the pain probably won't be going away, it's a relief to have confirmation it isn't anything serious! I can still say this has been another wonderful pregnancy!
Our Girl Who Loves to Hug
It all started a few months ago when Adeline and I were sitting at the table eating lunch. She hurt her hand when she accidentally hit it on the table. She then kissed her hand, told it "I lu you" and hugged it. Absolutely precious! Since then she wants to hug just about everything. She tries to hug her cousins and friends even after they've had one too many hugs and are trying to push her away. She hugs and kisses her family including her baby sister, stuffed animals, her "baby" and blanket, objects in her books, and anything that was dropped and could potentially be hurt. She even "tries" to hug the snowman that is no longer in our yard (and really only lasted one night), characters on tv, and birds and other animals she sees outside when she's inside.
Well, we were having a thunderstorm Wednesday morning and she was a little startled when she first heard the thunder. After I told her it was ok and there was nothing to worry about, she held out her arms to the air, said "Huuuggg," gave a kiss to the thunder, and told it she loved it! After that, every time there was thunder she would reach her hands up to the sky and say "Huuuuggg!" Needless to say, it melted our hearts!

First Signs of Spring
Seventy degrees and sunny! Beautiful! We spent all but Adeline's nap outside today. While Jared was at work, Adeline and I went over to play outside with our good friends Lisa and Amelia. The mommies were enjoying their time outside as much as the girls! After lunch we took them to a park. Adeline thoroughly enjoyed the slides, swings and geese (ducks as she calls them)! After Jared got home from work, we went back to the same park in Summergrove by the lake and had a picnic dinner with Matt, Lisa and Amelia. This time Adeline got to feed the geese with daddy and enjoyed more time on the slide and swing. What a wonderful day!
Adeline's first outing of the year in shorts and short sleeves!
Amelia standing by her mommy on the swing.
Adeline loves to swing!
There is no such thing as too fast or too high for this little daredevil!
After our picnic dinner Jared and Adeline fed the geese. Some of them were pretty aggressive!
As far as we know Adeline will never tire of the slide. As soon as she gets to the bottom she immediately insists on going again, or in her words: " 'gin, 'gin, 'gin!"

We've Entered the World of Blogging...
Welcome to our blog!!! I've been tossing around the idea of setting up a blog for awhile now, and I decided to do it when Jared suggested it the other day. We want to be able to share stories and experiences from our life with our family and friends as well as document events in our life for ourselves. I'm looking forward to being able to turn our posts into books to have for years to come. As some of you may know, I have had every intention of keeping up with a baby book for Adeline but that just hasn't happened as well as I would have liked. I mean, let's face it, I haven't even made a wedding album from our wedding five years ago! I hope you enjoy following us as we go through this life that the Lord is blessing us with!
