Cora's Freak Accident

What are the chances of this happening? Adeline spent the night with my parents, and Jared, Cora and I were going to get up this morning to spend the day out there. Cora was still in her crib as Jared and I were getting ourselves ready to go. All of a sudden, we heard hysterical crying for her room. We went running in there to find her sitting up in the corner of her crib with a string from the bumper wrapped around her right ring finger. We have no idea how she managed to do that! Obviously the tighter she pulled back, the tighter the string got. Her finger was swelling around the string so Jared had to get a small blade to cut the string off. Bless her heart! I know she was scared and it certainly didn't do anything for Mommy and Daddy!

You can see how red it is and the white line where the string was. Though it may be hard to imagine, that finger was a little puffier than the others, as well! It stayed like this almost all day.

Once all was calm again, we continued to get ready to go and headed out to see Adeline and spend the day on the farm!

Granny just moved into the garage apartment from Columbia, SC. It's great to have her here to see the great grandkids!

A Trip to Grandmama and Grandaddy's House

Adeline was so excited about her overnight trip to Grandmama and Grandaddy's house! I'm sure she'll have a blast!

A Trip to Wal-Mart

I love this girl!!! We went to Wal-Mart today for groceries. While there, Adeline picked out her first pair of sandals for the spring season and a new hat for playing outside on sunny days. She thought she was in heaven! She had to carry her bag from the store to the car and from the car to the house. As soon as she got inside, she took off her shoes, put on the sandals (over socks), and threw on her hat. I couldn't believe how excited she was!
